The CDARC is a local club in the Cleveland Texas area. We are primarily a digital radio club but everyone is welcome. Since our repeater resides in the Texas Patriots room we are not so much a local group anymore. We welcome our out of state, and out of country operators to join as well. At CDARC you will find something for everyone - whatever your amateur radio interests are, you will find someone in the club to exchange ideas with, learn from, and or teach someone something new. Whether you want to work with vintage equipment (boat anchors ;), work with modern digital radios, work DX on HF, or just get into the local 2 meter repeater. We have members who will help you build and tune your own antennas, program a radio, or help you with setting up your shack or mobile rig.     

All licensed Amateurs are welcome to be part of the group. We do not charge dues but we take donations to maintain our equipment.  Not only is it a lot of fun to support the hobby and build you knowledge, you will be able to help out in case of an emergency with the services that you can help provide as a licensed amateur radio operator. You will find there’s always someone that you can chat with while you are learning something new...      

The Cleveland Digital Amateur Radio Club History    

CDARC was founded by Robert N5BSB in 2022. The club purchased a new repeater,  antenna, and other needed equipment. Our temporary location was at N5BSB's house while awaiting a taller tower site. The coverage of our repeaters is fair due to the antennas height. Our 145.280 VHF repeater is a Yaesu Fusion DR2X and is primarily used by stations with Yaesu Fusion digital radios. We have this repeater linked to Wires X room Texas Patriots (60755).      

The Cleveland Digital Amateur Radio Club is growing. We support members locally in Baytown and all over southeast Texas. You can put out your call sign and almost always reach someone. We have come a long way and we are continuing to work hard to keep Amateur Radio alive here in Southeast Texas!
